Belgium born Walter De Backer, nicknamed Gotye has been adopted by Australia and is the latest big thing to hit our shores. This 31 year old multi-instrumental artist is an ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter. Gotye has released three studio albums independently along with a remix album featuring remixed tracks from his first two albums. He started out in pop band The Basics who have independently released three studio albums and numerous other titles since their beginning in 2002.
